Blogging

Blogging, it seems is not something that comes naturally to me. 

I'm going to give this one more go and then accept that it's not something I can get on top of.

Anyway...

2014 has been the year of crafting so far, I've made a super awesome cosplay, loads of clothes have been altered or created, household items have been painted and revamped and I've even done a little bit of cross stitch.

I'm going to set myself a bit of a challenge. To make/ revamp an item every month.

This is a good thing as I am a struggling creative type, often struck with the crafting urge in the late night hours or whilst at work, and it's possible that by structuring my creative time into my weekly routine I will actually start to complete projects and work through my stash of fabric and jewellery making stuff...

I will do my best to document my process and also tell you all about the stuff I get up to when I'm not on the computer...

Anyway. Here's the first little snippet

A happy little remake of this gifted Boden dress. I found the original length and sleeves a bit frumpy and although I am actually in my mid thirties now, I see no reason to act or dress sensibly.  

A few snips took the sleeves to a cute cap and a few bigger snips shortened the dress to a flirty mid thigh...actually I shortened it too far, so applied the striped waist band to add an inch and a half back...

It's cute and comfy now, although I feel a little top stitching around the hem might help it maintain it's shape...

Anyway... That's it for now

Here's hoping I can maintain my creative impetus...
